Ed and I embarked on a journey this last weekend that is at the top of the charts for outdoor thrills. We hiked down the snowy canyon walls of Hot Creek outside Mammoth lakes, CA.  We were the first people to blaze a trail down the snowy hillside and trek along the creek to our fishing hole.  It was a warm 19 degrees.  So cold that as we stripped our fly line back it was frozen immediately as it met the frigid air.  I ended up catching 4 fish and Ed#3 caught 2.  We finished the day off by taking a few ski runs down Mammoth Mountains fresh powder runs.
